Hiring a room at Leicester Quaker Meeting House

Importance Notice

The Meeting House is *closed* until further notice because of the coronavirus pandemic. All our regular users will be notified by email when we are able to re-open.

If you are thinking of booking a room in the Meeting House for the first time, please email leicesterquakers16@gmail.com and request to be placed on the list, so that you can be notified when the Meeting House is able to re-open.

Any groups wishing to come  back to the Meeting House to hold meetings will need to give some thought to the numbers of people who might be attending their meetings in the future and should be aware that there may well be restrictions to the numbers who can attend

We have rooms available for hire by self-organising groups and all bookings are made by telephone.

Please ring 0116 270 5003 and leave your request and your telephone number. Our Manager, Carmen Ilic will return your call and discuss with you what is possible.

Lettings are made on a sessional basis - morning, afternoon, evening.  The rooms are:

A Large Meeting Room which can seat up to 120 people,
A Small Meeting Room which can seat up to 60 people
A Library which is sometimes available for hire and can seat about 35 people

An upstairs Activity Room accommodating 30+ and
An upstairs Committee Room for smaller groups (up to 20).

There is a kitchen with a hatch into the Small Meeting Room.
All the rooms downstairs have facilities for disabled access, and for hearing assistance.

As self-organising groups, all tenants are asked to allow time for setting up and for restoring the room before leaving. Groups are welcome to re-arrange furniture as long as it is restored afterwards to the standard arrangement and ready for another group.

These and other matters will be discussed on the telephone at the time of making a booking.
